When my partner played this hand his play was as bizarre as his somewhat overbidding (the freebid of 2♥ after the intervening of of 2♣)
However how to make 11 or even tricks?
When a club is led, your entry to hand is immediately used up and if there are any finesses to be taken, you will need to do it now.,
You will need to take the spade finesse and stay in hand to repeat the finesse if it is successful.
At trick 2 play the Spade10 and it holds. Now repeat the finesse and play the remaining top spade. chucking a club loser.
Now play the trump Ace, disappointed that the suit breaks 2:0 but pleased to see that the trump finesse was not working.
Now cash the established spade chucking a Diamond.
Now you can claim 12 tricks losing just a trump.
