After the lead DO NOT PLAY off aces and Kings BUT GO TO WORK and establish LONG SUITS

When considering the chances of setting up long suit be aware of

Even suits break badly i.e. if there are 6 out against you likely to break 4:2 rather than 3:3 whilst

Odd suits tend to break well i.e. if there are 5 out against you likely to break 3:2 rather than 4:1

INTERMEDIATES TIP 851

With a shortage of entries do be aware that with A J opposite K Q 10 8 7 4 you can ruff with the king and then overtake the Jack if needs be.

ADVANCED TIP 851

After partner doubles their opening bid of 3 you just bid your best suit at lowest level with 6or 7 points or less but with 8 or more make sure you jump in your suit.
