{we have become WANNABEES  - we wanna be in North and we are stuck in South UGH}|pg||nt|now let us do it correctly|md|CA3D432,S32C952,CKQJ87,H32Ct64|pg||nt|so that you can enjoy the whole suit and not get blocked in South you have to adhere to the following golden rule :-|cs|3|at|

   {Play the high card or cards from the short hand first then go over to remaining high cards in the Long Hand}|pg||nt|so in this example we must play that Ace first in the short hand|hc|ca|pg||nt|as follows |pc|ca|pc|c2,c7,c4|pg||nt|now we can play remaining low one over to the high cards in dummy|pc|c3,c5,ck,c6|pg||nt|and now play the rest of the winning clubs from North, the hand we are very happy to be in, no longer "wanabees"|pc|cq,ct,d2,s2|pg||nt|and so on|pc|cj,h3,d3,s3|pg||pc|c8,h2,d4,c9|pg||nt|let us now look at the following example above|md|CAQ5D43,S432C92,CKJ743,H32Ct86|lc|ca|pg||nt|Again North is the LONG HAND and South is the SHORT HAND|pg||nt|But this time we have two high cards in the short hand|cs|3|at|

{ so this time we will have to UNBLOCK both of them by playing Ace and Queen first}|pg||nt|we play the Ace first|wt|s|pc|ca.c2,c3,c6|pg||nt|That's one high card unblocked, 

Now for the second one - the Queen|pc|Cq,C9,c4,c8|pg||nt| 
       now over to the Long Hand with the @cK   and we are OK for the rest of North's winning Clubs|pc|c5,s2,ck,ct|pg||nt|sometimes we might be in the long hand- if this happens we can still apply the rule and merely play a low card from this long hand winning in the short hand with the high card|md|CAQ5D43,S432C92,CKJ743,H32Ct86|wt|n|pg||nt|so in this example, if we are in North  we will have to play the @C3 first to the Ace in South, the short hand|hc|c3|pg||nt|playing the @c3 to the @CA|wt|n|pc|c3|pc|c6|pc|ca|pc|c2|pg||nt|No we are back on track with our original rule of High Card from short hand and we can now continue
Now unblocking
the second one - the Queen|pc|Cq,|pc|c9|pc|c4|pc|c8|pg||nt| 
       now over to the Long Hand with the @cK|pc|c5,s2,ck,ct|pg||nt|now we are in correct hand to play remaining winning @cJ and @C7|pc|Cj,h2,d2,s3|cs|4|at|

     so when we are in this situation what to remember ?|cs|3|at|


{ we must decide which hand is the long hand and which hand is the short hand
 and then we must play the high card(s) from the Short hand first so we DO NOT GET BLOCKED}|cs|4|at|


{If we are in the short hand do the rule in reverse and play low card towards that high card in the short hand BUT REMEMBER the emphasis is always on the high card from the short hand first}|cs|2|at|


{ and finally, if you still find it hard, try remembering WISH  FIRST which stands for
