From   July 2011 we shall again be organising The Dolphin Charity Bridge League whereby players, can get together with other like minded bridge players to play in an “almost beginners Bridge Teams” league.

Over an 8 month period they will play approximately 7 matches in each other’s homes.

 

You will need to get yourselves into teams of four (but you may wish to have 1 or 2 reserves on standby). If you are on your own or  with a partner only, but would like to be fitted in a team then we will be putting together teams.  Maxine Cartz has agreed to do this and she can be contacted by  email maxine.cartz@btinternet.com

 

 

Cost per person is £20 (£80 per team) and ALL the proceeds will be donated to 3 charities to include Cancer Research Fund, a local charity and one more to be confirmed by the Dolphin Bridge league committee..

 

Each match the teams will play 12 boards on a teams basis, playing with duplicate boards and comparing scores and then converting the scores to IMPS. If you have not played in a teams match before don’t worry, as all the rules will be fully explained and you will probably be in the same boat as many other players who are hoping to join this league.

 

This league is designed for less experienced players who have not yet had the opportunity to play in this type of competition before. Other leagues are available for more experienced players.

 

If you would like to enter a team or want to join as a pair (or as a single player) please complete and submit the form below to us  by 15th July 2011  (but much sooner if possible). The league is expected to commence August 2011 and to be completed by April 2012. It is recommended that you arrange to play one match per month or you could get behind in the schedule.

 

A trophy will be awarded to the winners to be kept for one year and each team member will also have a smaller trophy to keep.
